چکیده
Biomass wastes are abundant around us. They renewable and inexpensive. Product manufacturing from resources has caught increasing interest recently. Activated carbon preparation biomass resources, including various trees, leaves, plant roots, fruit peels, grasses, is a good example. In this paper, an overview of activated production will be given. The first part on the processing technologies. second focus activation methods. third introduce resources. fourth surface modification through addition components. Finally, development product applications discussed with emphasis adsorption, filtration, water purification, energy conversions, storage.

Biomass production from Bacillus sp. RAB9 using several carbon sources
Background The NYD medium (glucose, meat extract, yeast extract and peptone) is used for biomass production of some bacteria species that promote plant species growth [1-3]. The main carbon source present in this medium is the glucose that contributes a percentage of 25% to the medium price. An alternative to obtain a more accessible price for the medium is to replace the glucose by sources of ...
متن کاملHigh Yield Activated Carbon from Biomass by Air Activation
INTRODUCTION With its large internal surface area, activated carbon has extraordinary adsorptive capabilities. It is employed in a wide range of applications, mostly as a purifying agent to remove trace quantities of undesirable species from gas or liquid phase as well as an economical medium to recover precious materials. The demand for activated carbon has been continuously increasing in the ...
متن کاملProduction of Activated Carbon from Cellulose Wastes
Cellulose wastes of a wood and paper factory were used to produce activated carbon. Several chemical agents under various conditions were used for production of activated carbon and hence their adsorption properties have been evaluated. In addition the effect of process parameters such as raw material, chemical agent concentration, impregnation ratio, carbonization temperature, carbonization ti...
متن کاملRemoval of Lead (II) Ions from Aqueous Solutions onto Activated Carbon Derived from Waste Biomass
The removal of lead (II) ions from aqueous solutions was carried out using an activated carbon prepared from a waste biomass. The effects of various parameters such as pH, contact time, initial concentration of lead (II) ions, and temperature on the adsorption process were investigated. Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDS) analysis after adsorption reveals the accumulation of lead (II) io...
